Weekly Groups

Our Island History 

On Mondays(10-12) one of the group reads from a book or article related to IoW history, followed by a tea break and a quiz – just for fun.

We’re a friendly group – no expert historians – just enthusiastic amateurs!

Coffee & Chat

Informal chat about current events. Put the world to rights for an hour or so.  Join us on Thursdays (10-11.30)                   

Art & Craft

Thursdays 1.30-3.30pm

Create your own drawing or painting or maybe introduce us to your own craft, at our weekly social group. These activities can be relaxing and therapeutic.

Refreshments and friendly chat encouraged at all of our social groups.

We hold many local heritage documents at the Beckford Centre.

Do you have any questions about the heritage of Cowes, from churches, schools, industry, shops, pubs or local events?

Maybe we can offer a warm space and hot drink while you sit and read a book.
